My 25 year old school pony (the absolute golden girl of the stable) came down with colic one evening. She has been prone to colicing in the past and has always need vetinary intervention as soon as possible as she tends to worsen rapidly. This time due to her going down at 5.30pm (out of vet hours hence the call fee etc escallates) I thought I would at least do the colic points with the photon torch. So - I went over all the recommended points a couple of times over with a good 30 seconds on each point. Before my eyes and to my disbelief she started looking brighter in the eye and not wanting to go to ground constantly. After 5 minutes she was happily eating her hay - and never looked back! I monitored her a couple of time before turning in for the night - all good! To this day I still marvel at this case. With Colic, the horse recovers immediately, with back problems the horse is completely fixed without a chiropractor and also often look like a new horse afterwards! We've had a yearling filly who had a dull coat and always looked a little stiff, we used the photonic kit on her and she now has a shiny coat and runs around bucking and playing all the time, she has also put on bulk condition. I also compete and had the priviledge of being selected as one of the riders for the opening ceremony of the 2002 Sydney Olympics. 

This brings me to the reason for this testimonial.  The mare, Candidly, I rode at the Olympics has always had very poor, flat feet but, to her credit was never lame. 

When I arrived home from Sydney she came off the trailer lame. 

This lameness became intermittent and Xrays revealed chronically rotated pedal bones (probably what ended her racing career).

She was retired to the brood mare paddock but still required shoes in front to give her some semblance of soundness.

Over the past couple of years she has become progressively more lame and was to the point that at the end of 2005

had she not gone in foal, I had made the decision to send her to heaven.

During January 2006 I purchased a McLaren Equine Photonic Torch Kit.

During the first week I gave Candidly 1 treatment of the standard points (which was really just practice for myself).

At this time she was confined in a stable for several days.  When I let her out she cantered up to her mates and proceeded to continue around the paddock.

Needless to say I could not believe it - this mare had not trotted for 2 years, much less cantered.  I now have to corner her to catch her.

She still has very bad feet and I continue to keep her shod in front

but she is basically pain free and enjoying a very good quality of life and expecting her 1st paint foal in December.

This mare means a great deal to me, she has won 2 State Stock Horse titles and took me to the opening ceremony of the Olympics.

It is a form of acupuncture using light, instead of needles on recognized acupuncture points. 

I first saw teddy standing sadly in a paddock waiting for “The Doggers” 

I noticed he had swollen tendons and his heels were sitting very low. Because he was in pain, he had been laying down a lot. 

At 4 years of age, he had to have another chance. 

I am ever grateful to the owners who gave him to me, and there started the incredible six months journey back to full health.
